Your Questions, Answered

  • • Pre-bonded extensions typically last 4–6 months, depending on your hair type and aftercare

    • Tape-in extensions can be reused and usually need refitting every 4–5 weeks

Longevity depends heavily on correct maintenance, which I’ll guide you through.

  • Hair extension prices vary because no two heads of hair are the same. The final cost depends on your hair type, the method used, and the result you want to achieve.

This is why I always recommend a one-to-one consultation first. During this appointment, I’ll assess your hair, talk through your goals, and advise honestly on what will work best for you — including a clear price before anything is booked.

  • This depends entirely on your natural hair and lifestyle.

    For example:

    • Very fine hair often suits mini bonds or tape-ins

•. Medium-density hair may suit medium bonds

I won’t recommend a method that isn’t right for your hair. Everything is chosen to protect your natural hair while giving you the most natural-looking result possible.

  • No — when fitted and maintained correctly, hair extensions do not damage your natural hair.

I’m fully trained and certified, and I will never fit a method that isn’t suitable for your hair type. Extensions can actually help protect your natural hair from heat styling and over-manipulation.

    Healthy hair always comes first.

  • You’ll receive a maintenance kit including a professional brush, shampoo, conditioner, and pH balance spray to keep your extensions in the best condition.

I’ll also show you exactly how to wash, brush, and style your hair correctly so you feel confident caring for it at home.

Washing tip: Apply shampoo at the roots and gently smooth downwards. Avoid scrubbing or rough movements.

  • Yes — extensions can be styled just like your natural hair.

Avoid applying direct heat to the bonds or tapes at the roots, and always use a heat protection product to maintain the quality of the hair.

  • Your natural hair should be at least just above shoulder length. This allows the extensions to blend properly and last well without putting unnecessary strain on your hair.

  • Yes, you can still live your life.

•. Swimming: Shampoo first, towel dry, apply conditioner to the mid-lengths and ends, braid the hair, and wear a swim cap

•. Showering: Absolutely fine — just make sure bonds or tapes are dried thoroughly afterwards

•. Gym: Braiding your hair will help prevent tangling

  • Yes. I use high-quality hair that is carefully colour-matched and blended to your natural hair.

When fitted correctly, extensions should feel comfortable, look natural, and be undetectable — even when worn up.

  • What happens when hair extensions are removed?

After around 4–6 months, extensions are removed using a professional solution and specialist tools.

At this stage, we’ll assess your natural hair growth. If you’d like to continue with extensions, a fresh set can be ordered. Over time, as your own hair becomes healthier and longer, you may find you need fewer extensions than before.

The goal is always healthy, strong natural hair — with or without extensions.

  • Booking a consultation is the best place to start. We’ll talk through your hair, your lifestyle, and what will realistically work for you — no pressure, no pushy sales.
